Just Trying To Be A Good Boy
This picture was taken the moment after my cat Leo had brought me a mouse that he had been hunting for the past couple days. I took this photo to send to my mom who was at work at the time because we had been waiting for him to catch it. For some reason, Leo had an immediate look of regret on his face after killing the mouse and I decided that it would make a great meme.
A quick backstory on this meme if you don’t immediate understand it. During the “Black Death” also known as The Plague, millions of people died. The plague began in Eurasia and at its peak between 1347 – 1352 up to 200 million people died. The bacteria was spread by rodents (mice, rats, and squirrels) who boarded ships that originated in China in 1334 and spread along the great trade routes to Constantinople and then to Europe. The Black Death was devastating and historians estimate that up to 60% of the worlds population died because of it. The disease was spread by fleas who would bite infected rodents and the newly infected fleas would then go on to bite humans due to unsanitary conditions. The Plague lasted for well over 200 years and the mortality rate was considered to be almost 100%.
